• Grosfillex does not sell direct to consumers. We sell through a network of dealers in professional markets.

• Yes, our line of contract furniture has been designed and tested to ASTM* commercial standards. Our commercial seating products are rated to 300 lbs.

*Grosfillex was part of an ad-hoc task force that worked with the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) to develop industry standards for plastic chairs designed for outdoor use. These quality and safety performance standards were first published in 1994.

• All Grosfillex contract chairs meet or exceed these industry standards. Further, Grosfillex designs, manufactures and markets all commercial grade resin furniture with the ultimate consumer's safety in mind.

• The furniture sold by a retailer is for residential use only. It is intended for leisurely use and carries a one-year limited warranty.
• Grosfillex commercial furniture is made specifically for Foodservice and Hospitality use and can be purchased only from an authorized Foodservice Equipment and/or Hospitality Dealer.
• Our commercial furniture generally carries a three-year limited manufacturer’s commercial warranty (depending upon the furniture category).
• Grosfillex commercial seating products are designed and tested to an ASTM commercial standard.
• Our commercial furniture comes in more styles and colors than the furniture sold through retail.
• Grosfillex makes a clear distinction between residential furniture sold at retail for residential use and commercial furniture sold through Foodservice and Hospitality Dealers for non-residential use.

• Grosfillex is committed to design, build and sell BRAND NAME, SAFE, INNOVATIVE resin furniture specifically made for the Foodservice and Hospitality customer.
• Grosfillex started its commercial division in 1984. We have knowledgeable sales professionals who can assist you with your purchasing decision.

• Grosfillex furniture is made of a resin composite carefully formulated to pass rigorous test standards.
• Polypropylene resin, a by-product of the oil refining process, gives the product its resistance to most common food stains, moisture, salt air and chlorine.  It will not trap nor harbor germs, fungi or bacteria.
• Calcium carbonate or talc gives the product its rigidity.  Pigments give the product its color.  Chemical additives provide resistance to static buildup, fading and heat.
• Grosfillex may also include polypropylene copolymer in the formulation of furniture where resilience and resistance to repeated use is needed.

• Grosfillex uses advanced ultra-violet light stabilizers to resist discoloration by the sunlight twice as long as retail grade plastic furniture.

• Although our commercial products can withstand harsh climates, we recommend storing or covering Grosfillex products in that are in freezing or wet climates to improve its longevity.

• Grosfillex specifically packages tables and chairs to minimize the risks of freight damages.
• Low stacks of resin chairs on wide pallets increase the stability of the stack and facilitate handling with fork trucks.

While Grosfillex cannot warrant results of any specific cleaning method or product:

• A mild detergent such as dish soap and water will usually be all you need to clean your furniture.
• Chairs and chaises without metal parts have been successfully cleaned by soaking them in pool water and wiping them clean.
• Water with a 10% solution of either bleach or vinegar can remove persistent stains.
• General non-abrasive household cleaners (e.g., Formula 409, Fantastik, Windex, WD-40) can also help with various stains.
• For stubborn stains from different origins, such as sap, bird droppings, carbon monoxide and imbedded dirt, try using a resin furniture cleaner such as SunBrite.
• Mineral spirits, rubbing alcohol and acetone, while generally not recommended, will remove sticky, glue-like or black stains.  Apply the solvent carefully and rinse off immediately. 
• As with textile home furnishings, every case is different and, depending upon the nature of the staining agent, may require professional attention.
• IMPORTANT:  Do NOT use bleach or a chlorine-based chemical sanitizer to clean molded melamine tabletops.  Bleach will attack the surface overlay of the melamine tabletop and cause severe discoloration and staining.  Household cleaners like Spic and Span or a mild detergent with water should be used to clean the table top surfaces.

• Yes, melamine is the chemical polymer used to make ashtrays and dinnerware.  It resists scratches, cigarette burns, food stains, hot plates, repeated cleaning and discoloration by the sunlight.

• Yes, the tabletops are resistant to damage by ice, rain, snow, or sunlight.  Of course, protected storage in the off-season will keep your furniture looking new that much longer.

• No, Grosfillex table tops are not high pressure laminates of particle board glued with Formica.
• They are molded from a core material made of melamine impregnated wood chips and melamine impregnated surface paper; fusion-bonded to resist delamination and water penetration.

• Grosfillex commercial grade outdoor fabric when tested for fade resistance in compliance with ASTM G 53.96 standard, provide twice the recommended performance of the American Casual Furniture Fabrics Association (ACFFA).
• Grosfillex commercial outdoor fabrics are naturally stain resistant. To maintain their beauty and ensure long life, wipe up spills with an absorbent cloth as quickly as possible.
• Clean regularly with a warm water, mild soapy solution.  Rinse thoroughly with clear water to remove all soap and allow to air dry.
• The fabrics do not promote the growth of molds or mildew.  However, dirt or standing water will support these organisms. 
• Do not use pine oil cleaners.

• The Windmaster can withstand winds up to 35-40 mph.  However, your umbrella is not warranted for wind damage.  Umbrellas should be closed and/or taken down when not in use or left unattended.
• There are variables to wind that cannot be replicated in testing.  In wind tunnel testing, all winds are straight and sustained; they do not simulate the uplifts found in the real world.  Securing your umbrella to a base is of utmost importance.

• The turnaround time for custom Windmaster Umbrellas is 8-10 weeks.
